two layouts

I made this layout for a friend at work. I made it using the new bg line green at heart! I made the flowers myself using vintage lace from my friend renee and some felt ribbon! I'm really lovin the bright colors in this line!

THis next layout is for the current challenge at candyshoppe blog! the its raining its pouring challenge!
I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
in love with the prize for this month! this gorgeous kit from scarlet lime!

and here is what I did for the challenge:

This poem I wrote myself all the way back in 1998. but it still holds and emotional spot with me!
heres the poem:

rain
a calm surrender
interupted by
crashing thunder
and sharp bursts
of yellow lightning
purple, blue and black
graze across the sky
then the rain comes
slow at first
gradually pounding
harder and harder
there I am
right in the middle
dripping wet
I walk back to the house
the powers out
I light some candles
I curl up in the chair
I think of him
the rain reminds me of him
visiting for a short while
leaving at anytime
I loved him
I thought he would stay
but hes gone now
theres nothing I can do
so for tonight
I sit with my
memories of him
and listen to the rain

Theres not alot of embellishing details on this layout! I wanted all the focus to go to the poem! I wanted you to notice the words and feel the pain of it! The sadness it conveys!

I hope you ladies enjoy it and please wish me luck winning that oh so fabulous scarlet lime kit!
