some new things

I got another page in my bom done. the topic for this page was where does your sould reside? the technique was to use charcoal pencils and water colors. I improvised because I had neither. instead of charcoal I used a black crayon. instead of water colors I used acrylic paints that I mixed with water. My answer to the topic was in northern minnesota, my soul resides in northern minnesota!
I also used my black crayon to highlight words in the text that fit in with my theme.
some trees I painted, some I cut out and some are pictures I took of trees in the winter. my snow was created using liquid applique and some glitter. I hope you ladies like my page and are inspired to step out of your comfort and try a new technique on your next project!
Also I made a layout this weekend while my sissy was at my house! she made one too, her very first layout ever!
in honor of my sister being there I decide to scrap another pic from her wedding.
heres me and valdo "dancing the night away" although this is not how it really happened, I danced 3 songs, he danced all of them. lol!
in the corner are two hat pins I made using the technique from the divas in recycling forum. I cut the flap off a maya road kraft envie and strung it onto the brad. the flower I also made using a technique from the divas in recycling forum. I know its a simple layout, but sometimes they turn out that way I guess.

I hope you all will swing by and say hi on the scrap, laugh, love blog! check out our awesome new challenge for this month!!!! theres some fabulous inspiration up over there from our dt...

and I just wanted to share this with you today!
I sincerly hope it makes you smile, It did me!
