Guset post From Lilac and lace

Our next Guest post is from heather and I just love this fun hair idea she has!
thanks so much Heather!

HI everyone!  I'm Heather from Lilac and Lace and I am so thrilled to be a part of Val's Birthday Blog Party!

I love summer time and one of my favorite things to do this time of year is enjoy the sunshine and hit the beach.  But I don't have hair that really does well in the salty sea air.  What should be sexy beach hair inevitably becomes a tangled frizzy mess.  So when I hit the sand and surf, I tend to put my hair up.  So in the spirit of the season, here's a little tutorial on how to create a simple beach up-do that's both easy to do and looks simultaneously casual and classy.

* Gather hair into a high ponytail, but do not pull your hair all the way through the hair elastic the last time, so you are left with a loop of hair.
* Pull sides of loop to make rubber band extra tight and fan out your loop of hair as much as possible.

* Take botton of the loop and loosely flatten against scalp in front of rubber band

* Take just a few bobby pins and pin loop of hair randomly to head and in different directions.

* Pull out a few strands of hair to give your hair even more of a messy look.

* Skip the hairspray ;)
 And there you go!  Add a fun flower or two to add some tropical flair, grab your flip flops and enjoy the summer sun!
