Red Lake

Good morning blog friends. Did you all have a nice fall weekend? Mine was so full and busy, I almost need another weekend to recuperate.
Friday morning I packed up the truck and headed the two hours to my moms house. On the way is when I hit the deer. After making it succesfully to my moms we then headed in her vehicle another hour north to GrandRapids, MN. Gorgeous city. Its where Judy Garland is from and where she went to school. We had alot of fun shopping and had some lunch and got a bunch of wedding stuff done. Once we were done we got in the car and headed another hour and half to two hours north to Red Lake. Red Lake is the second largest lake in MN not counting the great lakes which are not actually inside the state. It was amazing. I had never been up there before. It is seriously like our own mini ocean. You cannot see the other side or land at all when you look across. The waves get so big they are white tipped. The sand is really just like ocean sand. White and smooth. I have never been to a beach in MN before that had sand like that. Ever. It was beautiful.
