Road Trip Part 2

My favorite place that we saw in Arizona was the Petrified Forest National Park in the middle of the Painted Desert. It was Amazing! Amazing! It's called the Painted Desert because all of the rock is colored from minerals. It looks like they are water colored. The Petrified Forest happened because A long time ago it was a forest and then it flooded and over the many many years the water and minerals turned the trees in to rocks. Not just any old rocks though, Agates.

The Puerco River. (On a side note every single river we saw Through Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona looked like this.)

Agate Bridge is 110 foot tree that fell and is Agatized. They have since poured concrete to stabalize it.

This is called the Crystal Forest. This place has the most populated amount of trees. And these trees are not only Agates, but they are crystalized also.
