Project Life

So I am doing Project Life this year thanks to my friend Marlene! The first book she made for her prolife wasn't exactly what she wanted so she sent the book to me! Woohoo! It's an awesome book and vary well put together. You can see the book here. She also sent some of the journal spots and embellies she already had set to use in this book. She is such a sweetie!
The one thing about this book is that I am using it a bit different. Instead of working in it daily or even adding daily photos I am doing it monthly. When the month is over I print off all my photos for the month and then get to work on it! This makes it easier for me. maybe next year I can attempt daily or weekly.
So here is my stuff for January. Each month has 1 page protector to fill both sides and then 4 8 1/2x 11 pages to fill. I went with simple layout on the pages to not take away from the photos but added more detail on the page protectors.

There's a turquoise enamel flower that goes on the cover I need to re glue back on.

Marlene edited this photo of me and Valdo then added it to the cover once she decided to give it to me.
Project Life
The inside cover which has a pocket to hold journaling spots and what not, is full of some of the things she sent me.
Project Life
Page one. I tried to keep the photos in order. I started with New Year's Eve and what me and Valdo did. Then moved onto some stuff about Kona. I also talked about the Travel Journal me and my friends started in January.
Project Life
Page two. It starts with photos of my dad who celebrated his 49th Birthday on the 16th. some other random photos and some journaling for the month as a whole.
Project Life
Page three. I just choose my 4 favorite photos of the month to use on these pages. This was me and Valdo dressed up to go to his brothers house.
Project Life
Page four. The beautiful frost we woke up to most mornings in January.
Project Life
My dad blowing out his birthday candles! I can't to have a huge party for him next year!

Kona also celebrated a birthday this month. She turned 3 on January 5th. In the photo she is taking a bath.
I am loving this book so much and am grateful Marlene sent it to me! I will be back soon with February's stuff!!!
