Weekend Re-cap memorial weekend
I had a good long weekend with my family! I love long weekends! Unfortunately it rained almost the whole time I still had fun in the few hours we had sun! Saturday we spent the day at the new land cutting down trees and hauling them away, getting the land ready to build on once the rain finally stops! Sunday all day we spent with the RV at Savannah State park. It was gorgeous! I just love it out in the woods! I feel so at home, and with all the extra green around us from the rain it was really beautiful! Then Monday we dug up some more of my moms flowers to be moved to the new land and also we completely changed the route we are taking home on the trip! Now we can skip Nebraska and head home through the badlands! Much more exciting if you ask me. So here's a few photos from my lovely weekend!
Cutting down trees at the land.
Valdo and eric hauling the branches out to the back part of the 40 acres.
Playing bean bags and golf balls, and even Kona wanted to play!
Checking out the sites at Savannah State Park.
Me with no make up, dirty shoes from the mud, frizzy hair, but having a great time!
Alex and Valdo were almost unbeatable as a team all day.
The RV and our day time campsite set up.
Setting off to explore with mom.
Lots of swamp and bog area in MN and even more north in the area my mom lives in. The park is full of them.
This is one spot to see the bogs real well. We tried to follow the trail but all the mud made it hard then I fell. I was fine and my camera was fine but my capris and shoes not so fine!
Mom exploring with me.
Wild roses I snapped a pic of for Renee! Aren't they pretty!
Fallen tree becoming part of the landscaping on the ground.
Beautiful, Beautiful moss covered trees lined the route we took!
Did you all have a fabulous weekend? Did you get tan by the water or go exploring? Lots of family time or relaxing? I would love to hear about it!
