Layout 6 & 7

So I'm sure you all noticed by now, my new design! I was wanting to freshen things up a bit after working on Marlene's design. Then after having a conversation with Renee about just how country I truly am, this layout just evolved from that. I'm in love with it!

Okay on to the layouts. HA. This first layout I went with a monochromatic theme as you see. I did this so I could get all those journaling cards and such on there. I'm using this layout in the new glitter girl challenge over at two peas. This layout and the journaling is all about how much Valdo enjoyed being in Cali, and how much he fit in there.

The next layout is so fun for me!!! I had all these photos of "The Four Amigos" as Valdo and I say. I really wanted to scrap them all together. I had previously made a layout using this many photos with an idea from shimelle's 4x6 photo love class so I thought I would try it again. Once I got to working on the layout I was reminded (by looking at art on my wall from her) how Renee and I refer to ourselves often as "Two Peas In A Pod", that then became the title. In the journaling I talked a bit about "The Four Amigos". This layout makes me happy and sad all at the same time. Happy to have been able to make these memories together when for quite some time we thought it would never happen. But sad cause I wish we could make meories like this every day!

This style of page is made by cutting the front layer down and allowing the title to show through for both layers. To get all the details of how to make it yourself check out the link above for the 4x6 photo love.

This is what you see when you open it. What I love most about this layout is that in your book it truly functions as one layout in your book. It just is interactive. I really like the interactive style layouts in my books.
