Project life January

I finally got my project life cover page and month of January finished! Now some of you maybe saying January, well I work on plife a little bit different than most. I really loved the idea of it that why I'm doing it again this year, but the weekly format doesn't work for me. Therefore I turned my project life into a monthly format. Project 12 if you will. Now because I do it monthly it seems I always have more inserts and such due to the fact that I'm using a larger time period and still trying to fit it in the same space as the weekly layout. I have two inserts in January. First off though here's the cover page. I took a cue from Elise and stamped my word for 2013 over and over on the diagonal to create that card. I love the overall result!

The photos of Valdo and I are older but they are some of my favorites and very calming so I thought they set a good tone for my album!

Page one of January. I have a good mix here of journaling, filler cards and photos. All my favorite colors to start my album off right!

I thought that my Dad's 50th birthday deserved its own little section. This was a 12x12 sleeve I cut down to just be able to have the 6 slots. I didn't do much embellishing because I wanted all the focus to be on the special photos.

Then the back side of the insert. I really love these photos alot!

Insert 2 is a 8 1/2x11 pocket sleeve that I'm using to hold all my memorabilia from the month. In this pocket I have a thank you from my Bestie, a thank you from my dad, the Dave and busters game token cards from the family dinner we had there after our bowling, and then the menu from the restaurant where we had my Dad's 5oth birthday party. On my paper shelf I have one shelf I set aside for plife papers. also on that shelf I have a little basket that I hold photos for that month and memorabilia too. That way everything plife related is on one shelf so I'm less likely to forget about something.

On this one the final page for January I have used a variety of photos, 1 4x6, 2 instax photos, and 2 instagrams that I had printed with persnickety prints. (I highly recommend them!) I also love the photos of my scrap space alot! the instagram is of the night we hung my tripod so I can film!
