Did you think I would be? I know alot of people make resolutions and what not in the new year and don't always stick to them, However blogging is one I would really like to stick too. That and creating also.
So this first full week in January I have been busy scrapping. Mostly because it finally got cold here. Below 0 cold. And the best thing to do when its that cold outside is stay inside put on a movie and scrap.
I am currently working on the second half of my 2013 album so these photos are a couple years old. I'm on June right now. I do sometimes scrap out of order but i really want to work on this album in order to make sure I don't leave anything out.
So here are the 3 layouts I have done so far. Two from my birthday weekend and one of sweet baby Kona. I really hope you like them and are feeling inspired to scrap also.
I stuck to my favorite color theme with this layout of teal or mint type colors ans pink but I also added in some yellow with this one. This layout is all about how Valdo took me to the waterpark for my birthday because it's my favorite thing and even though he doesn't like to go he ended up having a good time.
This layout I went with some brighter colors to help with the mexican theme in the photo. I love how this turned out and I used up alot of stickers from older lines I still have. I love this. I love using up older product! I can't bear to throw them away even though some of 5 and 6 years old now. they are still cute product right?! This restaurant El Loros is one of our favorite places and we know the staff there. Valdo is friends with many of them. They always like when we go in on our birthdays and they can make us where the hat and sing and everything. Its always such a good time.
This layout is quite possibly my favorite so far! I love it! I used light mint green paper and put that gorgeous vellum from studio calico on top. Again that vellum was so pretty to me I have hoarded it for a long time. To see it finally on a layout makes me so happy. I cute all the hearts by hand and you can even see where I folded some of them to cut them, that doesnt bother me at all. I like when things look hand made. It adds some character to this layout I think. And again using my tried and true color combo for this one. I just don't see my self ever getting sick of these colors.
So there you have it my first 3 layouts of the year. I hope you like them.
I hope you are scrapping!
I hope you are being creative in some form and enjoying the start of 2016. Stay tuned for more posts soon.
